OK - if I'm being completely transparent, there have been numerous occasions where I have been forced to head into another drive-thru when I was desperately wanting a McDonalds coffee but settled for something else. Why you ask? Because I wanted a darn bagel! I don't know what it is with humans and their obsession for bagels (and carbs in general) but it's real. Thankfully, actually thank goodness, McCafé bagels are now available nationwide

Completely unrelated but also totally related, my mom always makes fun of the way I say bagel, like "BAE-GAL", what's up with that? Originally I thought it was because I had moved to the Maritimes and my East Coast accent was starting to catch up to me but now I'm noticing that literally no one else says it like that around me except for me haha.

Speaking of BAE-gels what kind are you into? This might seem ridiculous to ask but I feel like what you put on your bagel and what kind of bagel you choose speaks to me about what kind of person you are. I basically feel like there should be a BuzzFeed Quiz about what you put on your bagel and if you put peanut butter on it you're a magical unicorn that loves the colour purple. I'm a plain cream cheese and everything bagel type of gal OR I'm a cinnamon and raisin. What I choose to get is VERY dependent on if I feel like sharing with my tiny humans or not.

The other day when we were on our way to the beach we stopped at McDonald’s to get a vanilla ice coffee, (WHICH BY THE WAY ARE ON FOR 1$ right now) and when I got up to the cashier I totally freaked out remembering that the bagels were now available. We then made a joke about how I should probably own one of their new shirts that are beautifully displayed with bagels all over them. Anyways, moving along, once we made it to the beach Matt wouldn't stop talking about how excited he was to try out the new bagel LOL, aren't our lives extra exciting? I let him try it first cause I'm the number one wifey and he kept going on about how good it was. And in case you didn't know, Matt is a bagel connoisseur - I'm barely even kidding. If this bagel gets Matt's stamp of approval there is basically nothing else you need to validate its deliciousness. They're baked fresh daily and you can choose between Plain, Multigrain, Cinnamon and Raisin and Everything.

I dare you to ask me how complicated my McDonalds drive-thru decisions just became: a combo number 2 or a bagel with my coffee?? The struggle is real, in the best kind of way.
