Taking care of me with the help of Jamieson.
Over the past four years, I have been focusing solely on my children. I have given myself a little bit of self-love but nothing that is worth mentioning. Fast forward to today and I have spent the last four months giving myself all the love and attention that I deserve. I certainly do not regret diving in the deep end of motherhood but at some point, you have to start swimming back to shore and remember who you were before you became a Mom.
This past January was when my journey began - I woke up one morning feeling pretty yuck, I rolled out of bed and decided it was time to make a change. I’m not exactly sure how I made that mental switch in my brain but I did and I’m forever grateful that it happened. Since then I have lost around 14 pounds and overall am feeling so, so much better. I am not the kind of individual that is able to go on a “strict” diet, it is just not in my DNA. And although I can commend people from afar who choose a certain path to get healthy, I strongly believe in more of a lifestyle change that you will be able to continue once your weight loss journey is done - and I wanted to be able to maintain the changes that I had made. I do have plans to write up a blog post about my weight loss, however, today I want to touch on something that has been equally beneficial for me throughout this whole process. A few months ago I posted a blog post about Jamieson helping us through the cold season and although I was aware that Jamieson was a great thing for the cold season I was actually unaware of all the amazing and wide range of products that are available for women.
I have never been great at taking my vitamins, it would always go well at the beginning but within a few weeks it would dwindle away and I would forget all about it. This is something else that I have been working on, partly because now that I am nearing 30 (did I say that out loud) I feel like I should step up my responsibility game a notch and also because there are so many important things that should be entering my bloodstream as a busy mom of two that I may not be able to get in a day to day through nutrients. Let’s go through the list of things that I am using so that I can break down exactly what it is and why it’s helping me as of late:
Jamieson Multivitamins for Women: This is the holy grail of multivitamins. First of all, it comes in gummy form so not only am I getting all the good stuff but I’m also feeling like I’m eating candy in the AM and there’s something way too fun about that. These vitamins are a delicious mixed berry flavour that works as a natural energizer as well as support immune function, metabolism and healthy skin. Also important to now, there are no artificial colours, flavours or aspartame - did I mention they were delicious? I did, but I’m doing it again because they really are that yum.
Next up is the Jamieson Gentle Iron: More than a decade ago my doctor told me I had low Iron. Once again, as an irresponsible teenager, I choose not to do much about it, but now that I am getting my life together this is something that I strongly rely on. Iron deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, headaches and dizziness, you name it - so why not avoid that all together? These pills are gentle on the stomach, are enriched with vitamin B2 for enhanced absorption and naturally, help prevent iron deficiency.
Jamieson Collagen Anti-Wrinkle: I can’t be the only one that is in denial about wrinkles can I? Well, I’m here to say get over yourself, in the nicest way possible of course. I say this because I avoided using any products that would help me, assuming I just didn’t need them but boy was I wrong. This product will reduce wrinkles and fine lines in 28 days, you know those ones on your forehead? Yeah me neither …. and it will also combat signs of aging by improving appearance and elasticity of the skin, win, win IMO.
Jamieson Women’s Probiotic Complex: This beauty is specially formulated with probiotic strains for women’s health. It contains 5 unique strains providing 7 billion active cells and with Advanced Tube Technology to guarantee active cell count to expiry. It also supports intestinal and digestive health, which this mama needs.
If this article taught you anything it should be that Jamieson offers a variety of solutions to support women health (which ps is SO SO important, YOU are so important, just sayin’) from adolescence to menopause, women’s bodies are in constant flux, which means so are the nutrient needs. Making sure your body is constantly getting the nutrients it requires (and deserves) at each life stage ensures that you will look and feel your healthiest, and isn’t that just what we’re all hoping for!
