My favourite photoshoot of all.
OK, so I feel very over technology half of the time and then the other half I just can’t live without it. The past month on the blog has been one of those – I can live without you, you ridiculously annoying piece of machinery type moments. But of course, now that my blog is back up and running, I take it all back – such a love, hate relationship I have with the stinkin’ thing. Basically like my first high school boyfriend, breaking up during lunch and getting back together during gym class.
When the wonderful and ridiculously talented Chantal Routhier, (please, if you have any brains in that noggin of yours you would follow her at @chantalrouthier asked me if I wanted to partake in a Mommy-Daughter photoshoot I jumped at the opportunity. If you know me, you understand my love for pictures. I love taking pictures of people, I love capturing a moment and I of course, don’t totally hate being in front of the camera myself. To make things even easier she had offered to come to my home and do the shoot in the comfort of my own space – HURRAY for this homebody.
I won’t blabber on about the day because Chantal made an awesome lifestyle post about it on her website and I’m quite convinced that my post wouldn’t be nearly as awesome as hers (CLICK HERE TO OPEN THAT AWESOMENESS) so instead I’ll just share with you a whole bunch of pictures from that special day loving up on my little Mama.
Sidenote: I can’t even BELIEVE that these precious moments we’re from a few months ago – looking at these pictures of her then and what she looks like now; how can a little human change so quickly? Be still my heart and slow down little girl!
You didn’t think I managed to make myself look this presentable all by myself right? Imagine!
A few other very important ladies that helped out with this shoot:
Nicole from OHDINA! was in charge of these absolutely ridiculously over the top cute flower crowns. Just trust me, you want one in your life.
Both Kaia and my stunning outfits are from Thief and Bandit. They have the best, best, best, stuff. I came prancing down the stairs when I had put it on and told everyone that I belonged in Greece dancing to Mama Mia – I was clearly feelin’ myself.
Selena Marchand was in charge of making me look presentable, and did she ever deliver! This tired mama went from blah to POW! in less than an hour. She is the best of the best. She made me feel like the old Sheridan that used to shower and wear makeup and all that totally taken for granted stuff.
